No matter what the season, denim is a staple in every women’s wardrobe. Having said that, like any other fashion piece, denim trends and styles come and go based on the season. In particular, you’ll find that certain styles of denim tend to be more appropriate for cold weather, and others tend to be better as the temperature rises. And so, with spring on its way, let’s take a second to chat about how you can revamp your denim collection to suit the new season.
1) Denim Jacket
First off, if you don’t have a denim jacket, you’re going to want to scoop up this classic spring essential.
Not only is a denim jacket ridiculously easy to style, it’s also an amazing piece to have at your disposal for when there is a slight chill in the air, but the sun is still shining. Layer it over your favorite spring dress, style it with a chic midi skirt, or simply throw it on with leggings for a casual look. Either way, a denim jacket is never a bad idea in a spring wardrobe.
2) Denim Mini Skirt
When we think of denim, we often think about your standard pair of jeans, but this spring, why not change things up a bit with a denim mini skirt?
Flirty and feminine, a denim mini skirt is a great way to add some variety to your denim collection. Not to mention, if a mini skirt feels a bit outside your comfort zone, denim midi skirts are also in style this season. In other words, with any sort of denim skirt in your collection for spring, you’ll be set.
3) Cropped Denim
Of course, though, we totally understand that a lot of you are probably looking for a way to bring some spring flavor to your traditional pair of denim pants. In that case, we highly recommend getting some cropped denim into your life.
With bare ankles, this style is an ideal cut for spring. Go for a wide straight-legged pair if you’re really looking to keep it trendy, and trust us, you’ll be reaching for this new favorite denim option all season long.
4) Light-Wash Denim
And lastly, whether you’re looking at jackets, pants, or skirts, we recommend going with a lighter wash for spring. It doesn’t have to be a full-on ‘80s acid wash style, by any means, but just something that feels light and fresh for the warmer months will have a more spring appropriate vibe.
What do you think? Is your denim collection ready for spring? Are you thinking it might be time to invest in some new styles? We hope some of these ideas gave you inspiration for how to style your denim this upcoming season.
